Roberto Dainotto

Roberto Dainotto is Associate Professor of Romance Studies at Duke University. His publications include Place in Literature: Regions, Cultures, Communities (Cornell UP, 2000) and Europe (in Theory) (Duke UP, 2007). He has edited Racconti Americani del '900 (Einaudi, 1999), and Mediterranean Studies (with Eric Zakim, MLA Books, forthcoming). His new book-projects are a study of
representations of Italian-Americans in Italian culture, and a historical reconstruction of the debate around "philosophy of praxis" and "philosophy of history" in late Nineteenth-Century Italy.
