J. Andrew Brown, from the United States, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, and is currently Associate Professor of Spanish at Washington University in St. Louis.  He is the author of Test Tube Envy: Science and Power in Argentine Narrative (Bucknell UP, 2005) and several articles that explore the intersections of science, technology and literature in Latin America.  He is currently finishing a book on the formation of post-human identities in Latin American literature and film.
