Laura Cabrera, from Spain, has been a member of the Middlebury Spanish School community since 1998, when she came as a dependent at age 11. During several summers she has participated actively in several co-curricular activities such as chorus, zarzuela, etc. Recently she was invited to participate as an amateur journalist for the Spanish national newspaper El País (section “El País de los Estudiantes”). She has studied music for three years, and English since she was six years old. She is an undergraduate student, specializing in Health Sciences; currently she is finishing nursing studies in the University of Salamanca (Spain), where she has served her practicum in the University Hospital of Salamanca for three years. This is her second summer as a Bilingüal Intern.
