Carmen Carballo Sanchiz
Carmen Carballo Sanchiz,
from Spain, received her licenciatura in Spanish Philology (Linguistics) from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid. She has taught at Duke University, North Carolina, and United States university programs in Madrid (New York University, University of Delaware, Pepperdine University, Middlebury College). She is currently a professor with Middlebury College's program in Madrid and New York University in Madrid, where she teaches grammar, writing, and conversation courses. Her areas of interest are Spanish Lexicography and Lexicology. She has also worked at the Real Academia Española as a lexicographer.
