Gustavo Faverón Patriau
Gustavo Faverón Patriau,
from Perú, received his M.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. He is an assistant professor of Latin American literature and culture at Bowdoin College, Maine and is currently a visiting professor at Stanford University. He is the author of the book Rebeldes: sublevaciones indígenas en Hispanoamérica en el siglo XVIII (Madrid: Tecnos, 2006) and editor of the anthology Toda la sangre: cuentos peruanos de la violencia política (Lima: Matalamanga, 2006). He is also the editor of Dissidences: Hispanic Journal of Theory and Criticism and a contributing op-ed writer for several Peruvian magazines and newspapers.
