Juan Andrés Jurado Torresquesana, from Spain, holds a degree in English Philology and another in Spanish Philology. He received his PhD from Salamanca University in 2002, defending his thesis on Middle English word formation, and is currently engaged in further study of the teaching Spanish as a foreign language. He has published a book entitled Phonetic Evolution from Indo-European to Modern English: The Fundamentals for Practice, and has forthcoming another book on Spanish phonetics for English speaking students. He has taught at Salamanca University for almost ten years, in such subject areas as English, history of the English Language, English morphology and syntax, and Spanish phonetics.
