Carolyn Wolfenzon- from Peru, is currently completing her dissertation at Cornell University while teaching Advanced Spanish and Latin American Literature as a Visiting Instructor at Bowdoin College. She received her MA in Latin American Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her B.A in Communication Sciences and Journalism from the Universidad de Lima, in Peru. Her major fields of expertise are 20thCentury Latin American Literature, particularly the historical novel and the representation of the Colonial period. Her articles have been published in several academic journals from Peru, London, and the United States. She has taught Spanish Language and Latin American Literature at Bowdoin College, Colby College, Cornell University, University of Colorado at Boulder, Ithaca College and for the Summer Program at Middlebury College. Before coming to the United States she was a journalist at El Comercio newspaper in Peru.
