Key responsibilities: advise students applying to nationally-competitive fellowships and seeking undergraduate research opportunities, co-chair the Spring Student Symposium Committee, and support funding for students attending academic conferences, pursuing senior work research, and working with faculty as summer research assistants.
My academic background is in German Studies; I hold a BA from Dartmouth College and a PhD from Harvard University. I have been a Fulbright grantee, Mellon graduate fellow, and research fellow at Harvard's W.E.B. DuBois Institute for African and African American Research and have taught courses at Middlebury, Kenyon College, the University of Connecticut and Wesleyan University. As an administrator at Wesleyan University and Middlebury College, I have held positions in student life and academic affairs. I have also worked as a freelance writer and editor.
