Students studying in Paris enroll in university courses at the Middlebury Center, the Université de Paris 1, the Université of Paris 3, or Sciences-Po Paris.
By special arrangements, qualified undergraduates may be authorized to take courses at other institutions, such at the Catho (for religion majors), the Ecole Normale de Musique (ENM), the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture (ESA) (for architecture majors only), the University of Paris 4, the Ecole des Psychologues Praticiens (EPP) (for psychology majors only), the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), or the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm).

Academic year or single semester students may enroll in the Programme International at Sciences-Po Paris which offers courses in political science, international relations and economics. Students complete a full course load at Sciences Po. Students wishing to take any courses at the Institut d'Études Politiquesmust be pre-selected by Middlebury and accepted by the Institut,on the basis of their language skills and academic background. The application procedure is simple, but is separate from application and acceptance to the School in France. The deadline for fall and academic year students is early March; for spring students it is mid-November. Each semester students enroll in the orientation session which introduces them to life at Sciences Po.
