Orientation
Students will make their own travel arrangements to Germany. Please consult the
calendar
before purchasing any tickets. We suggest that students arrive during daytime hours on weekday and never on a German holiday. Students are encouraged to arrive at least one week prior to the first orientation meeting.
As soon as students have their arrival information they should email it to the Director. Every attempt will be made for students to be met upon arrival either by the Director or by one of the orientation assistants.
Students will have two orientations. One will be with the Director and the other will be with the International Student Office of the host university.
During the orientation period students will be required to enroll at the university and register with the local authorities. In Mainz, the Director will assist students. In Berlin, students will receive help from the International Office. For more information on these procedures, please visit the Studentenwerk website for "
