Americans may keep abreast of the world political climate via the Department of State web site.  The Schools Abroad have contingency plans in place for the evacuation of our students, but these are not considered until an advisory is posted.  Any student relocation and/or evacuation would be conducted in consultation with the Embassy or Consulate.  In certain situations, the Consular Section will take over responsibility for American citizens in their district.
