**The "Personal" figure covers some basic necessities and does not and is not intended to include students' discretionary spending (e.g. entertainment and travel).

***The estimated out of pocket expenses for the academic year in the southern hemisphere do not include the break from mid-December through early March.  If you plan to stay in your host country during the break, you will need to budget two additional months of living expenses.  You can calculate this by dividing the room/board figure by ten to get the monthly rate, then multiplying it by two.  If you plan to travel during the break, you should also budget accordingly.
