KIM GRIFFIN Associate Professor and Director of the School in Spain. Ph.D., The Ohio State University. Upon receiving an M.A. from the Middlebury College Spanish School, Professor Griffin joined the School in Spain as Assistant Director. After receiving her doctorate in foreign language education, she directed the Faculty of Philology at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. She has published articles on second language acquisition and is a frequent speaker at seminars organized by Spanish universities.

LENA SANTILLANA , Assistant to the Director. M.A., Middlebury College. Ms. Santillana has worked for the School in Spain since 1993. Previous to working for Middlebury, her experience includes teaching at the high school and college levels in the state of Washington. As Assistant to the Director, she handles orientation and preparation for graduate students going abroad, student registration and all non-academic affairs. She is also certified as an ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview Tester and responsible for organizing and carrying out oral evaluations of students.

LAURA HERNÁNDEZ, Housing Coordinator and General Administration. Ms. Hernandez has partially completed a degree in Spanish, French, and English translation at the Institut Supérieur Cluny-Iseit. Before joining the Middlebury Program in Madrid, she worked for a nonprofit foundation organizing the international congress-exhibition, Expolingua. As general administrator for the program, she helps students with housing, organizes program-sponsored activities, and manages general office administration.

TERESA CÓRDOVA DEXTER, Coordinator for Student & Faculty Cooperative Development. Ms. Córdova holds a B.A. in International Relations & History from Tufts University. Her previous experience includes organizing youth exchanges for the Escuela de Animación y Educación Juvenil, a department of Madrid's regional government, and coordinating the Association of American Programs in Spain, a nonprofit organization representing 50 American study programs. Ms. Córdova has also worked as Assistant Program Officer for the Fulbright Commission in Madrid.

CARLOS JURADO MARTÍN
, Coordinator for Student Affairs and Integration. Mr. Jurado received his degree in Hispanic Philology from the the University of Córdoba.  He was an international student in the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg (Germany). He founded  an international youth association involved in four projects of the European Commission. He has also worked as a Spanish language and culture teacher in the Fernando III University in Córdoba, at the Baden Local Language Center (Austria), and at two centers in southern Spain accredited by the Cervantes Institute. Mr. Jurado began his work at Middlebury College in Spain as an orientation assistant in the Córdoba program.
