The HASS Program is a grant funded by the State of Vermont through the Addison County Long Term Care Coalition. The purpose of the program is to assist elderly and disabled residents of The Meadows and Middlebury Commons senior housing complexes to retain their health, safety, and independence.
We need patient volunteers with a good sense of humor to help tutor residents with use of computers/internet; play adult games (chess, cards, etc.); provide companionship, friendship to the elderly and disabled; assist with organized group activities; and play musical instruments for small groups.
