The Nature Conservancy is a science-based, non-profit conservation organization whose mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. New York and Vermont’s Southern Lake Champlain Valley has been identified as one of the Conservancy’s highest priority places in the United States.
