Many of Middlebury College’s community partners are devoted to the maintenance of the most definitive characteristics of pastoral Vermont; mountains, lakes, rivers, and forests. Countless Middlebury students have found that a collaboration with organizations focused on the upkeep of our greatest natural resources has deepened their connection and sense of place during their time in Vermont. While for many this is an enriching extracurricular interest, others who are interested in environmental conservation, sports and recreation, education, and development and fundraising will find opportunities to further pursue their passions.
Students interested in relating the work of these organizations to their academics will likely find direct connections between Environmental Studies, Biology, Geography, Geology, Chemistry, Religion, and Economics.
