SafeSpace (an anti-violence program for LGBTQQ survivors) has merged with RU12 Queer Community Center. The center is home to Equality Vermont, VT Freedom to Marry Task Force, VT Transaction, and PRIDE Vermont. The community center addresses the social, cultural, educational, health, and safety needs of Vermont’s queer and allied community. It is dedicated to working with all ages, genders, sexualities from and anti-violence and social justice perspective.
As many changes are underway, we have many volunteer needs:
- Administrative volunteers to organize information about the center.
- Direct service volunteers to staff the SafeSpace support line in the evenings. Volunteers must complete 20 hours of training.
- Health & Wellness volunteers to help with our database, mailings, trainings, and to work with related programs.
