WomenSafe is a non-profit domestic and sexual violence victim advocacy organization and a member of the Vermont Network Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Staff and volunteers work toward the elimination of physical, sexual and emotional violence against women and their children through direct service, education and social change. Services provided include: 24-hour hotline, legal, medical and community service, advocacy, support groups, supervised visitation, safe homes, education and outreach to community, college, and youth groups.

We need volunteer:
• Hotline Workers to provide support to women on our 24-hour crisis hotline (can be done off-site, from volunteer’s home/dorm room or via cell);
• Court Advocates to assist with our court education program and support women during Final Relief form Abuse Hearings Tuesday mornings;
• In-Office Volunteers to help with administrative tasks;
• Supervised Visitation Monitors to assist children who have been exposed to domestic violence by monitoring court ordered visitation between the child and the non-custodial parent in a secure, safe setting.

We also need volunteers to help with Video taping of volunteer training for seven evenings (5:30-8:30) and one weekend day (8:30-4:30) over the course of three weeks (specific dates to be provided upon request). Video equipment provided by organization.
