The housing summit is a gathering for people interested in and those already working on community housing issues. It is hosted by the Agency of Human Services in order to present their new "Housing Now" program- this program will explain the state's renewed focus on housing and its efforts to conduct business in new and more collaborative ways. The meeting will also include a presentation of the Addison County Housing Coalition regarding their program Addison County Housing Solutions. This program has been presented throughout the state as a model of excellence. There will be an opportunity for people to talk about the systemic obstacles they have experienced in trying to keep or attain sustainable and safe housing for themselves or clients and there will be small group discussions to brainstorm solutions and ideas from a broad range of viewpoints.
