Has actively pursued her own multi-media art projects, in class
and independently, for the past 8 years.
Jasmine has completed her 520 and independent project and this show is her completion of her 720.
She interned for working artist Sandy Garnett in
CT/NYC last summer.
Illustrations/Art Editor for the college's ALSO Magazine.
The attached piece is from her 720 independent project, a body of work in which
she combines nastalgic or innocent subject matter with a dark and twisted sense of humor.
In this work, she uses multi-media techniques to explore abstract narratives, the deconstruction and refabrication of story, and the transformation of
objects through context.
