As a courtesy to other departments, faculty may borrow slides when it does not interfere with Art Department needs. Students may borrow slides if they have been assigned to prepare a presentation for a class and if their professor has notified the Slide Curator. Slides may be used for educational purposes only. Slides may not be duplicated.
Slides must be signed out and may be borrowed only for the duration of the lecture or presentation to be given. Slides cannot go out for more than 24 hours unless special arrangements are made with the Slide Curator.
If you are a newcomer and wish to use the Slide Collection, please make an appointment with the Slide Curator for a brief orientation. If you wish to assign your students to do slide presentations in class, you must give the Slide Curator sufficient advanced notice. Please make an appointment for the class to be oriented to the slide library as a group.
The Art Department does not supply carousels, projectors, or screens. This equipment may be obtained from Media Services in Sunderland.
