Student Research in Robotics and Vision

Come hear about some of the exciting work being done by Middlebury College students in robotics and computer vision research. This joint talk will feature two student projects from Summer 2005. Anna Blasiak '07 and Jeff Wehrwein '08 will describe their work with Professor Daniel Scharstein on the Middlebury stereo vision project, which includes the construction of nine new stereo data sets with known depths, and a new PHP interface that lets researchers around the world evaluate the performance of their algorithms. Professor Amy Briggs will describe the work done by Yunpeng Li '05 and Matt Wilder '01 on robot navigation using features from omnidirectional images.
