ChristianA.JohnsonSummerInternships:
The Christian A. Johnson Internship program was launched in the summer of 1998 by David Colander, Christian A. Johnson Chair. Johnson interns are selected each spring to help faculty with their summer research and also to pursue projects of their own interest. If you are interested in applying for a summer internship, please contact our Events Coordinator, Janine Podraza (x3198).

DigitalBridges2.0 Conference:
The DigitalBridges2.0 conference was launched in January of 2000 by Michael Claudon, David K. Smith '42 Professor of Applied Economics. Initially sponsored by Christian A. Johnson endowed funds, the DigitalBridges series is in it's 6th year and currently funded by a series of Middlebury College Alums. 
The 2006 DigitalBridges2.0 one day conference at Middlebury College titled, "Is the Phoenix Rising from the Ashes of the DOtcom Crash?  What does it All Mean" will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2006 
This event is free & open to the public.

Endowed Chairs:

Phani Wunnava 
was named David K. Smith '42 Chair in Applied Economics. His appointment was announced at the April 2006 faculty meeting. His 5-year appointment begins on July 1, 2006. This is the second appointment of the David K. Smith Chair.  The first 5-year appointment was held by Michael Claudon from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2006.

Sunder Ramaswamy was named Frederick C. Dirks Professor of International Economics. His appointment was announced at the April 2002 faculty meeting. His 5-year appointment began on July 1, 2002.

Grading Positions:
The economics department hires graders at the beginning of each fall and spring semester for the following courses: ECON 0150, ECON 0155, ECON 0210, ECON 0211, ECON 0250, ECON 0255, ECON 205, ECON 0316, ECON 0317, ECON 0412, and ECON 0475. In order to be considered for a grading position, you must have completed the course you wish to grade for at Middlebury with a grade of B+ or higher. If you are interested in grading for any of these courses, please contact Amy Holbrook (x5327) for more information.

Middlebury Annual Economics Conference 2007:
