Thierry Warin received his Ph.D. from Essec Business School (Paris, France) in 2000. His dissertation focused on the credibility of monetary policy and its implication for the European Monetary Union. His research interests focus broadly on macroeconomic policies and more specifically on European economics. He has published numerous articles and two books on European monetary integration. His most recent publication (a textbook in French) is Industrial Economics: A European Perspective [Dunod (ed.), October 2000].
Prior to coming to Middlebury College in the fall of 2001, he had the opportunity to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level at HEC (Paris), Essec and the University of La Sorbonne and as a visiting professor at Ecole Polytechnique (Montreal) and HEC Montreal.
 
Teaching interests include macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis, international economics and industrial economics.
