A Novel

Going somewhere? Take Thumb Tripping with you.

Gary met Chay on acid -- his first trip, her last. It was at a party, at school, back East. This precious night had made her precious. So, later, they'd rapped about the summer ahead, and it seemed worth doing together; California, hitching the coast, working it out with whoever would stop for them. They had to put plausible lies in the right places, but that was no hassle. And now, so easily, they were doing it...

Thumb Tripping is an astonishing novel about two young people with a far-out summer travel plan. They are in no hurry. They have no special destination. But where they go, and the people they meet, no reader will ever forget.
