Artemis: Artemis is a bi-annual feminist magazine of news, interviews, essays, art, poetry and fiction. There is a wide variety of foci, including politics, society, academia, health, sports, and culture. This publication is interested in all topics relevant to gender issues. The staff works to create a positive, diverse expression of feminist ideas and to promote greater gender awareness on campus. Artemis welcomes the support and contributions of all students, faculty, and staff.

The Campus: The Campus is the student newspaper of Middlebury College, operated solely by students. It publishes on a weekly basis, with the goal of informing the college community of current and interesting events on and off campus. Everyone who is interested in writing, editing, or layout is invited to be a part of its staff.

The Crampus: The official College humor publication, The Crampus is a bi-annual publication dedicated to satirizing the Middlebury community and the nation at large. Over the years, The Crampus has taken on various formats, spoofing both college and national publications. Its staff enjoys total autonomy and freedom from censorship in all stages of production.

Frontiers: This semi-annual publication includes the prose, poetry, art and drama created by members of the College community.

Kaleidoscope: The student-run yearbook, issued each fall, recalls the full spectrum of life at Middlebury.

Otter Creek Journal (OCJ): The OCJ provides a forum for the discussion of issues pertaining to human relationships with the natural world. Students, faculty, staff, and administration are welcome to join the journal's community of writers and thinkers. The OCJ is always looking for essays, issues, short stories, poems, artwork, photographs, and research that will help foster a holistic, multidisciplinary understanding of humans and their environment.

Skin Deep Magazine: Spring 2002 marked the triumphant return of Skin Deep Magazine after a three-year absence as well as its establishment as an official college organization. Skin Deep Magazine was originally founded as a publication dedicated to fostering understanding and furthering dialogue concerning issues of racial diversity. Since its inception in 1993, Skin Deep has evolved to include a multitude of issues pertaining to identity, including but not limited to gender, sexuality, religion and class in addition to those of racial and/ or ethnic diversity. The members of Skin Deep wish to provide Middlebury College students, faculty/ staff and alumni with a safe forum in which to voice their concerns about issues of identity and diversity at Middlebury. We do so in hope that the experiences related within the pages of Skin Deep will engender discussion that will transcend the format, cultivating an atmosphere of sharing, and thus bringing a newfound awareness to the members of the Middlebury College community.

Writing on the Wall: Writing on the Wall is a student literary magazine that holds weekly meetings to workshop submitted prose and poetry. The meetings are designed to provide authors with constructive criticism and to foster a dialogue among the college's writing community. The club publishes a bi-annual collection of writing accompanied by student artwork.

Other Clubs:

Book Club: This organization discusses a variety of books in a non-classroom setting and brings together students with the same interest in reading who might not be in literature classes.

Thoreau Up in the Woods: This group encourages and embraces the art of writing through mutual critiquing of the participants as a means of fostering links between the creative process and the natural surroundings and to establish a culture of appreciation for the creative mind.
