ES 211 Spring 2005
Professor: Jon Isham
"Finding Common Ground: An Exploratory Workshop on Vermont's Future in the Age of Climate Change"
Students in the Spring 2005 ES 211 Conservation and Environmental Policy course researched 6 different sectors in Vermont to both determine how climate change will impact them, as well as to assess that sector's current level of activity in addressing climate change issues. The class culminated in a workshop for representatives of these diverse sectors where the students presented their results and facilitated a discussion on visions for Vermont's future, clean energy strategies, and economic opportunities. Below are links to the sectoral reports as well as to the workshop press releases.
Student research for this class was modeled after an ES 401 class that assessed the level of activity of religious institutions in Vermont in addressing climate change. That report can be reviewed by clicking
