The final project of the Introduction to GIS course (GEOG 0320), taught in the spring of 2006 by Jeff Brunskill, called upon students to use many of their newly acquired GIS skills to determine the risks that the population and environment would face in the event of hurricane passing over the Tampa Bay region of Florida.
