The German House

The German house is a fun place and might possibly be the most exciting language house on campus. Students and a young teaching assistant from Germany live there and organize a variety of informal interactive activities (parties, movie nights, cooking, tutoring sessions, what not) all connected to the German language and culture. Examples of such informal interactive events that take place at the Deutsch-Haus (German House) are Kaffeestunde (see below), German Techno Party, German Movie evenings and tutoring. The students make an agreement to speak German as much as possible, in order to practice and learn more, thereby imitating the German way of life and also promoting the study of the German language in their daily activities and functions.
