Library: Starr Library staff have produced quick-reference guides for each language, listing selected dictionaries, encyclopedias, literature, newspapers, journals, browsing books, on-line information, and print indexes in the various languages. The guides are available in take-away, printed form and on the World Wide Web. The library's extensive Web site provides access to many more on-line reference sources, including links to newspapers and other sites for current-events and cultural information. Along with an extensive collection of works in English on most aspects of Japan, there are 1,700 works in Japanese, with special strengths in literature and linguistics.
