Francois Clemmons,
artist-in-residence and Twilight Scholar, is the founder and director of the Harlem Spiritual Ensemble. Comprised of six singers, a pianist and a percussionist, the Ensemble is devoted to he preservation of the American Negro Spiritual. Faithful to the original interpretations of the spiritual, the Ensemble brings to life the vital spirit expressed in these songs. He is involved in many College and community events, performances, and ceremonies.
