Pianist Diana Fanning has performed throughout the U.S. and in France, Holland, Switzerland, England, Germany and Austria.  In June 2004 she performed a solo recital at the Leopoldskron Castle in Salzburg, and she returns to Europe for a concert tour with cellist Dieuwke Davydov in Spring 2006.  Her CD of works by Chopin, Janacek and Debussy was enthusiastically reviewed in England and the U.S.  Vermont Public Television featured her in a program of works by Scarlatti, Ravel and Chopin, and she has performed live radio concerts in New York, Boston, Vermont and Europe.  She studied piano at the Conservatoire National in Paris and at the Manhattan School of Music.

Diana Fanning has taught at Middlebury for 29 years and her students have been accepted into the Aspen Music Festival, the Fontainebleau Music School in France, the Royal College of Music in London, the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna and in Hamburg, and graduate programs at the Eastman and Hartt Schools of Music.
