voice
I am in my eighth year as a member of the voice faculty here at Middlebury and enjoy teaching the singer how to sing beautifully in all styles of music. Although trained classically as an operatic tenor, I enjoy crossing over into Musical Theatre, Jazz and Gospel and Rock.
My recent performing credits include Simeon in The Lyric Theatre's production at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Alfred in The Green Mountain Opera Company's production at the Vergenne's Opera House of Die Fledermaus in 2002. And in 2003 I performed the role of Archibald in the The Secret Garden with the Lyric Theatre Group at the Flynn Theatre.
Besides being on the voice faculty here, I also teach voice at St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT, and at my home in Essex Junction. I have been a voice teacher for 8 years and before that had a short career on the concert and operatic stage, singing all over the United States and studying and teaching in Europe.
I promise you that our sessions will be informative, with lots of great work and fun as well. I believe that I am at my best as a teacher of voice when I am out performing, so hopefully you will have the opportunity to see me put into practice what I preach.
