Announcing auditions for the Music Dept. production of GYPSY, by Jule Styne. Doug Anderson, Director; Carol Christensen, Musical Director; Troy Peters, Conductor.
Auditions for singers will be held Thursday, Sept. 11th from 8-10pm and Friday, Sept. 12th from 4-7pm in room 221. Call-backs will be held Saturday from 10am-2pm in room 221.
Singers should prepare a Broadway song (doesn't have to be from GYPSY, but may be, if preferred) for initial audition, and be prepared to read from the script. Call-backs will include a dance audition, and singers may be asked to learn a particular song from the show.
Instrumentalists should contact Troy Peters for audition information.
Students should be prepared to take this course as their winter term course.
Most academic years, the department puts on a student musical. January 25 & 26, "Sweeney Todd" was performed, with Doug Anderson director; Carol Christensen, musical director; and Troy Peters, director of the orchestra.
