About the Middlebury College Choir
The College Choir is an ensemble of about 44 singers by audition whose repertoire includes choral masterworks of Western music, folk music, world music and new compositions. The Choir regularly performs choral-orchestral works with members of the College Orchestra. Student soloists are featured regularly, and recent repertoire has included Missa Brevis in B Flat by Wolfgang Mozart, choruses from “The Lark” by Leonard Bernstein, Iranian folk and classical music and American folk song.

About the Glee Clubs
Middlebury joins a 150-year-old tradition of choral ensembles in the US with the establishment of these two new ensembles. Both will perform regularly throughout the year, separately and in combination with other Middlebury choral ensembles. Glee Clubs perform a wide variety of repertoire and develop skills in singing and performing. Glee Clubs traditionally also emphasize the enjoyment of singing and a strong sense of community as singers. (Middlebury students may participate in Glee Clubs and College Choir at the same time, by audition, though credit is not available for both ensembles separately.
