The Minor in Portuguese
The minor in Portuguese
consists of five courses, beginning with PGSE 201. It includes at least one course at the intermediate level (PGSE 201, PGSE 202 during the academic year) and three to four courses in literature and culture at an advanced level. These advanced courses can be taken during the fall semester of the academic year, at the C.V. Starr-Middlebury School in Latin America in Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, or Niterói, Brazil, at the summer Portuguese Language School (level 400), or through study abroad programs approved by the Latin American Studies program and sanctioned by Middlebury's Programs Abroad Committee.
