I received my Ph.D. from New York University. I've worked extensively with reading, writing and technology, primarily with "marginalized students." Some of my work is captured in my recent book, Life-Affirming Acts: Education as Transformation in the Writing Classroom (Heinemann, 2000).
I've also contributed to the book, Twenty Teachers Working (Falmer Press, 1999), writing about portfolio use in the writing classroom. I've also written extensively on teaching and technology, and I've presented uses of technology at national conferences. Most recently, though, my work can be followed on my weblog, "educare" detailed experience, including conference/publications.
