Middlebury College faculty and staff, who are frequent travelers, may apply for a Middlebury College Corporate American Express Card and a college telephone calling card. Requests for either card should come from the department supervisor. The Corporate American Express Card has an annual fee. Telephone calling cards do not have an annual fee. Requests for both cards should include appropriate budget information for billing of annual fee and calling card charges.
The Corporate American Express card is issued in the employee's name and card billing is sent to the employee's home address.
The College is enrolled in the American Express Car Rental Loss and Damage Program. All passenger car and van rentals should be rented using the Corporate American Express Card. The program covers automobile and van rental insurance at a total fee of $4 for up to 30 days. This means the cardholder should decline the rental agency's insurance. This program does not cover cargo vans, trucks of any kind, off road vehicles or antique vehicles.
