Susan Simmons, Assistant Director
Office: 212 Service Building
Phone: 802-443-2049
E-mail: ssimmons@middlebury.edu
Susan Simmons joined the Budget Office in January 2002, and has been with the College since December 2000. Her work has a definite technical slant, focusing largely on the Budget Office's role in Position Control and report writing. Using Hyperion, Susan writes all budget reports for in-office use, as well as for the College community. She trains staff and faculty in the use of these reports for tracking budget activity. Prior to the College, Susan worked as Financial Associate with the Salzburg Seminar, an international, educational organization located both here in Middlebury and Salzburg, Austria.
Susan came to Middlebury, VT in 1993 with her husband and two children, after living for 21 years on the West Coast of Florida. She says that Vermont's natural beauty varied by seasons, the sense of community, and 'roads less traveled' were the deciding factors. Her favorite pastime is traveling these roads on her Harley Davidson.
Most importantly, Susan continues to enjoy the challenges of technology in both Banner and Hyperion reporting.
