The Chellis House living room is an ideal location for seminar-type classes.
The home-like surroundings foster a relaxed atmosphere. Students, faculty and staff gather here for meetings, parties and other events as well.
The deck looks over a small back yard. Students meet here for lunch and it is the site of our wonderful end of the year picnic!
The Alison Gwen Fraker Reading Room is located upstairs. It holds our collection of resources on gender as well as an archive of feminist activity at Middlebury
Most Friday nights during the school year students gather for Friday Night Dinner. Sometimes informal, and sometimes with a focused discussion or event, these meals allow everyone to catch up on the week's events and make plans for the weekend.
Chellis House coffeehouses provide a forum for resident and local singer/songwriters and an opportunity for students to get together informally.
