The Communications Officecollaborates with colleagues in the Admissions Office to produce a series of publications designed to recruit qualified applicants to Middlebury College. Integral parts of the student recruitment process, the viewbook, fact sheets, and search piece illustrate the wide variety of experiences students encounter at Middlebury, provide an overview of the academic program, and give a sense of campus life.
The Communications Office delivers these messages with extensive use of photography juxtaposed with engaging captions and callouts. The running text provides essential facts about the College, while photos, captions, and charts show off Middlebury's diverse and active campus.
More than anything else, the viewbook is designed to tell a story: the story of Middlebury College. In telling this story, the viewbook and search piece adopt a common theme, which remains consistent in the publication for a period of 2-3 years (allowing for refreshes of photography and information).
