At Middlebury College, Pamela Fogg art-directs a variety of communications projects, including Middlebury Magazine, admissions recruitment materials, fundraising and the web. She likes challenging projects that offer the opportunity to learn about the subject and the audience and then craft an effective visual approach.

Since she began working in higher education, Pam has been involved with the University and College Designers Association (UCDA). She co-chaired 2003 and 2004 Design Summits and from 2005-2008 served on the board of directors and executive committee, and created and chaired a committee on sustainability. She is also a big fan and member of the Society of Publication Designers (SPD).

Pamela has worked in the field of graphic design for over 20 years. She received her B.F.A. in advertising and design from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After freelancing her way through design school, Pam was design director at South Street Seaport Museum, where she oversaw the design of everything from a four-color history magazine and a multitude of brochures to banners and T-shirts. Before coming to Middlebury, she worked for Rizzoli Publications with a cadre of artists, architects, photographers, and authors, developing museum catalogs and art books.

She is married to web geek Reinhold Lange ’93 and has an adorable teenage son. When she isn’t at the office she can be found maintaining their 125-year-old farmhouse, biking, kayaking, birdwatching, traveling or reading. In the winter she spends a lot of time in hockey rinks devising ways to keep warm while watching the guys coach/play hockey.
