Stephen Diehl joined the Middlebury College Public Affairs office in 2007, bringing a combination of corporate and higher education communications experience. His responsibilities include writing general press releases, responding to media inquiries, and developing news stories on student achievements.

Prior to his appointment at Middlebury, Stephen was director of communications at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont, and previously served as director of communications for the Orvis Company, based in Manchester, Vermont. Stephen received his bachelor's degree in English from Indiana University and a master's in advertising and public relations from Marquette University. He lives with his family in Cornwall, Vermont.
