Graduate School Testing: Answers To Some Frequently Asked Questions
GRE:
Current policy states that you may take the General Test one time per calendar month.Unofficial scores will appear on your screen following the test. If you choose to view your scores, you may request that they be sent to as many as 4 graduate institutions at no additional charge. An official paper score report will be mailed from ETS to you and to your score recipients 10-15 days following the test.If you do not select institutions on the test day, you will be required to pay $13 per recipient to have the scores sent at a later time.GRE Score reporting is cumulative. Current GRE Board Policy states that your scores are reportable for 5 years(until September 15 following the fifth anniversary of your test date). All scores earned during this time will be reported to each institution you designate. You may choose to send only General Test scores, only Subject Test scores, only Writing Assessment scores, or any combination of the above, but you may not choose to have only those scores from a specific test date reported. GMAT:
When you complete the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), you can immediately print an unofficial copy of your GMAT Quantitative, Verbal, and total scores. An official score report, including scores for the Analytical writing Assessment will be mailed to you and your designated schools about two weeks after testing. You must respond to both essays and each section of the GMAT to receive an official score report. Your basic test registration fee covers the release of your score report to up to five graduate schools selected by you on the day of the test.Official score reports contain the three most recent score results achieved in the last 5 years. However, test scores are kept on file for 20 years, with most schools accepting them for five years. You can take the test one time per calendar month. LSAT:
Normally, you may not take the LSAT more than three times in any two-year period. However, you may retake the LSAT if a law school to which you are applying requires a more recent score than any you have on record, and the school provides LSAT with written proof of its requirements no later than the last day of registration for the test.
