Jaye Roseborough
Executive Director

Career Directions: Bio-sciences and Humanities
Liaisons: Religion, Psychology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology & Biochemistry, Biology, First Year Seminar, Middlebury College Open Queer Alliance (moqa) and the Student Government Association (SGA).
Major responsibilities: Strategic planning, overall office management, external relations, counseling.

Jaye has over 25 years in the Career Services field. Before coming to Middlebury in January of 2000, Jaye directed the Alumnae Career Services programs at the Center for Work and Service at Wellesley College. In the seventeen years prior to that she owned and managed her own career consulting firm specializing in career change counseling and consulting with organizations on projects including outplacement, hiring the right employees, management development and career pathing. After completing her Master's in counseling, Jaye was the Director of the Career Development Center at the University of Hartford from 1976 to 1980. Her first years after graduating with a bachelor's in English and Biology were spent working for the American Red Cross in South Viet Nam and teaching junior high school science in Kentucky.

Major responsibilities: Strategic oversight of recruiting program, program development for seniors' job preparation, assessments, career counseling and staff management.

Prior to coming to Career Services, Don worked in the Consumer Food, Advertising and Retail industries. He earned a BA from Dickinson College in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Katz Graduate School of Management at the University of Pittsburgh.

Major responsibilities
: Program development for strategic internship initiatives (such as the Externships program), Middlebury-only internships, and career counseling.

A corporate outplacement consultant in New York City for seven years before moving to Vermont in 1986, Susan has worked in the fields of publishing and direct marketing, and most recently taught English as a Second Language and English Composition at the University of Vermont, Champlain College and St. Michael's College. Susan has a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College, a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from St. Michael's College. Susan's daughter is a member of the class of 2006.

Assistant Director for Internships

Career Directions: Education
Liaisons: Teacher Education and Health Professions
Major responsibilities: Internship development and administration (including Ron Brown and J-term), database management, counseling.

Education, in its various forms, has always been important to Claire. After attending Regis College and receiving her degree in Education from Rivier College, 9 years of teaching junior high school students in Massachusetts was next on the career path. From teaching in the structured environment of the classroom in the city to directing adult programs in spirituality and leadership in the bayous of Southwest Louisiana, the position at Career Services came as somewhat of a career change. Having been with Career Services some 15 years, Claire's responsibilities have shifted and grown over that period. Claire is responsible for managing CSO's various internship programs: Winter Term, Ron Brown, Felton Family, and summer programs and managing the database that provides a plethora of internship opportunities. Away from life at Middlebury, the Tetrault home, aka The Tetrault Bed & Breakfast, is a frequently sought after haven for friends and family from near and far.

Major Responsibilities: Strategic marketing of CSO programs and services, event planning, Careers in the Common Good program development, career development Workshops, Career Conversations, Peer Career Advisor (PCA) program, career counseling

Most recently, Tracy has worked at Middlebury College as an interim international student advisor, as the coordinator of international student records, and the director of programs for DigitalBridges2.0. Tracy brings broad experience from both non-profit and for-profit business management, strategic planning, marketing, budgeting, and evaluation. She worked for fourteen years in the forest products industry and environmental sector. She was the Executive Director of the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), the leading international trade association for the American hardwood industry in Washington, DC. While at AHEC, Tracy designed and implemented major international market development and promotion campaigns in conjunction with the USDA-Foreign Agricultural Service. She developed research goals and strategy for the wood products industry's six overseas offices. Upon moving to Vermont, she was the director of business development for an internet B2B website focused on sustainable forest products and later became the marketing manager for the New York-based Rainforest Alliance SmartWood Program.



  Tim Mosehauer

Major Responsibilities:

Tim joined the Middlebury CSO in the summer of 2007 and comes with a rich background in student affairs.  Starting from his days as an undergrad at William and Mary in Virginia, continuing through a year as an Americorps VISTA, and into his days as a grad student at Boston College and beyond, Tim brings energy and enthusiasm to all that he does.  Tim worked in Boston for the last 8 years in a variety of capacities at different universities in career services, academic advising, first year orientation planning, student activities and community service/service learning.  Two special highlights of his career were participating as a staff member in Semester at Sea, a study abroad program aboard a cruise ship, and visiting Japan as an American representative and traveling in a cross cultural program called the Ship for World Youth.  Before moving to Vermont, Tim was fortunate to take advantage of his international interest and live overseas for 1 year in New Zealand as a sabbatical, long honeymoon, work and travel type experience.  At CSO, you will likely meet Tim during our drop-in hours or a counseling appointment, or managing our in-house and online libraries. When not working, you can find Tim playing soccer, watching sports on TV, especially cheering on the Red Sox, hanging out with family and friends, or munching on animal crackers, one of his favorite snacks!

Employer Relations Coordinator

Major responsibilities: Organization and detail management for on-campus recruiting activities including on-campus interviews and the Resume Referral Program.

Terri comes to the CSO team with many years of diverse experience in office management, small business ownership and customer service. Through our web-based recruiting system, MOJO, Terri publicizes information regarding post-graduate opportunities, information sessions and workshops to our students and maintains this database. Terri works directly with employers to see that their recruiting needs are met with services such as The Campus newspaper, catering, scheduling, media services, area lodging, and directions. On a personal note, Terri is innkeeper for the Brooksville Bed and Breakfast with her husband Michael.


 Hallie Davis
Administrative Assistant for Internships and Career Development
Major Responsibilities:  Provides administrative support for the internship program.

Hallie received a BA in Sociology from Boston College in 2000 and a M.Ed. from The University of Vermont in 2006.  After exploring careers in education and the nonprofit sector, she joined the CSO team in November, 2006.  On a personal note, she enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family and friends.

 Technology Coördinator

Major Responsibilities:  All things technological.

Stephen is CSO's technology coördinator.  Prior to joining CSO he had enjoyed a career as a professional Stage Illusionist and Sleight-of-Hand Performer, as well as an oboeist with several diverse bands.  Stephen holds a bachelors degree in Comparative Literature from Harvard University, is Red-Sox-friendly, and can be seen haunting the back-side of Jay Peak.






Middlebury's Career Services Office is involved in a number of off-campus interview days and career fair groups; please see our off-campus interview days and consortia events page for more information. Additionally, some of the staff have professional memberships with the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE), the Career Resource Manager's Association (CRMA), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the National Society of Experiential Education (NSEE). Middlebury's CSO is also part of the Liberal Arts Career NetWORK (LACN), a nationwide group of 24 liberal arts colleges that helps students and employers connect for internships and jobs; and the Small College Career Alliance (SCCA), an information-based consortium of 20 small liberal arts colleges in the Northeast. Institutionally, Middlebury is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and we abide by their principles for professional conduct.


CSO's Mission Statement

The Center works in partnership with the academic program to provide students with "real world" experience that aids them in identifying and attaining their service, career, and lifelong learning goals. To this end, the Center provides state-of-the-art resources and services to help students better understand and practice the skills needed for success in today's global community. By engaging in the Center's full range of programs, which include education, exploration, and support services, students will prepare to take their place as thoughtful, ethical leaders able to meet the challenges of informed citizenship.
By providing:

  • Resources and services that create an opportunity to explore the connection between academic study and future paths of study, work, and service;
  • Access to experiences that extend learning and the application of skills beyond the classroom through community service, service-learning, internships, and student employment;
  • Education in the practical life skills and planning necessary to seek, secure, and manage optimum postgraduate opportunities;
  • Opportunities to make direct connections with alumni and other representatives from diverse employment fields through on-campus recruiting and other interviewing venues; and
  • Assistance to alumni in their future career transitions
