This position will support the Director of Research and the Chief Science Officer by working to implement, coordinate and communicate both overall Earthwatch programmatic needs as well as those of the Research Department.

McCormick Taylor, Inc.,Baltimore, MD: GIS Analyst
Seeking a GIS Analyst with 1-5 years experience for a full time position in our Baltimore office. Work will include data translation and database development, map design and production, and execution of geoprocessing models in support of interdisciplinary transportation planning and environmental impact projects. Qualified candidates will possess strong mapping and GIS analysis skills. Previous experience with MS Access and ESRI GIS software such as ArcGIS and ArcPad is a plus. Familiarity with MDE/MSHA design standards is also helpful.
- Save-the-Redwoods League, San Francisco, CA: Land Steward
This position is responsible for day-to-day management of League-owned land and stewardship of the League's conservation easements. The individual combines knowledge of ecological principles with excellent interpersonal skills to develop and implement pragmatic approaches to land management and stewardship. The individual has knowledge of natural resource management and the federal, state and local regulatory environment.

Connecticut Farmland Trust – Interns will prepare maps and materials for meetings with landowners and CFT Board of Directors; research land records and documents related to pending conservation projects; research material for CFT's new program to encourage municipal farmland preservation; conduct stewardship monitoring visits to CFT's easement farms; and create stewardship database using Land Trust Alliance's LandSteward program.
Winrock International – Interns with the Planning and Strategic Initiatives unit (PSI) will assist PSI with research writing, and strategic planning related to the creation of the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Scholars Program to support applied research on natural resource and agriculture issues in South and East Asia.
Chesapeake Bay Foundation– Interns will conduct research for and write, edit and pubish electronic and print newsletters; provide staffing support for regional non-profit conservation partners in collaboration with CBF;act as primary point of contact to the public; conduct community outreach and
develop and maintain the Heart of the Chesapeake web page.
Chicago Botanic Garden – Interns will focus primarily on the land use patterns around populations of two federally listed orchid species. We are particularly interested in someone who has computing experience and is familiar with GIS applications, especially ArcView.
- Scenic Hudson Land Trust – Interns will develop and implement Sound Principals for Riverfront Development education and outreach program in four communities; develop and implement surveys to determine interests of park visitors at five Scenic Hudson Parks ; and engage the public through helping to organize public forums that solicit community input on land-use issues.
