OPT Guidelines for Students in F-1 Visa Status - Optional Practical Training (OPT) authorization is granted by the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after recommendation by International Student and Scholar Services for F-1 visa students to legally work in the U.S. Please contact the immigration specialist, Jennifer Havlicek in ISSS for details.
