The Grants Office is part of the College Advancement division. The Director and Assistant Director are located in Munford House. The Sponsored Research Office is located in the Middlebury College Library, Room 223.
The missionof the Grants Office is to support College initiatives and faculty scholarship (research and projects) through the identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation of corporations, foundations and federal agencies. First priority for institutional programs is to obtain the largest amount of support for the least restrictive purposes in order to build endowment, and support budgeted programs. Second priority is to address approved new projects that would not be undertaken without grant funds. The Coordinator of Sponsored Research, operating within the Grant Office, is responsible for facilitating the efforts of faculty at all stages of grantseeking and grant administration.
