Technology has evolved into a vital component of teaching and learning. The Center for Teaching, Learning and Research is dedicated to a critical examination of the role of communication technologies in education.
At Middlebury College, we work with Segue , our home grown CMS tool, Moveable Type , the bloggoing tool of our choice, digital storytelling, podcasting and videocasting, and wikis. The work is extensive and complex. Our goal is to understand how technology, learning, and students and teachers can form new and exciting paradigms for knowledge creation.
Below are examples that demonstrate the rich and varied uses of technology for teaching and learning.

Digital Stories
"What is story? And what is its relevance for connectivity? Joe Lambert, Director for the Center for Digital Storytelling, reminds us that story is learning, celebrating, healing, and remembering ("Digital Stories in the Liberal Arts Environment," in Media Communities, 323).
Work on Digital Stories, at Middlebury College, began with workshops conducted by Joe Lambert. Since, the technique has evolved. Students use digital stories routinely -- to learn, to celebrate, to heal, and to remember.
Below is access to root folders containing varied examples of digital stories:
