Transportation needs are one of the main sources of Middlebury College's environmental impact. We strive to minimize these impacts through initiatives such as Zipcars, the bike repair shop, MiddRides, the Snow Bowl shuttle bus, and the online ride board.

Zipcar at Middlebury

Middlebury College has signed an agreement with Zipcar, the world’s largest car-sharing company, starting a program on campus expanding transportation options for students, faculty and staff. Two Zipcars are located near the Franklin Environmental Center  at Hillcrest, and are available for use to those who sign up as Zipcar members.

Middlebury Bike Shop

The Middlebury Bike Shop is a student-run, college-owned facility open to all members of the Middlebury College community. They are dedicated to promoting cycling on campus and teaching bicycle maintenance. Stop by the basement of Adirondack House, to learn bike maintenance skills to fix up your bike!

Public and Alternative Transportation

Looking for information about carpooling, buses, and other ways to get to and from campus? The Middlebury College community has access to many great options.
